Clients in our healthcare sector benefit from a dedicated and experienced team, which, in particular, spends a significant amount of time dealing with the specialist accounting, taxation and superannuation requirements of the medical profession. Two of the firm’s partners, Stephen Bargh and Hazel Murphy, oversee all aspects of this work and both partners have in recent years been invited to present seminars to GP practice managers by NHS Network & Learning Education department.
The firm is one of only seven Scottish firms who are members of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (“AISMA”), a network of accountancy firms throughout the UK who all specialise in working for doctors.
The association has a rigorous qualifying procedure to ensure that AISMA accountants are amongst the best advisers available on finance, taxation, practice management and accounting issues.
AISMA accountants act for partnerships, large group practices and single-handed GPs. They now represent over 9,000 doctors in more than 2,400 medical practices - and the number is growing.
By the sharing of expertise and knowledge through AISMA, we are able to provide high quality and focused assistance on a wide range of specialist matters affecting the medical profession and are keen to share our expertise with all doctors and practice managers.
